Remove Author name, created and modified date

I dont like the default settings of the Joomla articles. They show the author name, created and modified date.

To disable them go to:

Articles Parameters function. Go to Content > Article Manager, and click on Parameters icon (top right near Help Icon), from here you can find a number of settings, including Created, Modified, etc. Please note that if you use Use Global, this will only apply for new content which is added (not for your current articles). Current articles would have to be updated individually.

How to put Custom HTML into a Joomla website

To put custom HTML code into a joomla module postion you need to to use mod_custom module. This probabaly my most favourite module.

See the affilate banner graphic for HostGator.com on the right of http://joomla-pro.com/joomla-pro-blog.html - we inserted custom HTML codes into the mod_custom module using right position.

This is a very flexible module that you can use for insert all types of HTML codes.
